Your task is not to seek for love,
but merely to seek and find all the barriers within
that you have built against it.

About my practice

I am a licensed clinical social worker holding a Master's Degree from the University of Maryland, and with over 18 years of independent psychotherapy practice. Additionally, I have completed Level II certification in Advanced Trauma Treatment from the Ferentz Institute.

I work primarily with adults in individual and couples therapy, in either short- or long-term treatment. Although I am pleased to provide brief therapy, my work tends toward longer durations. My experience includes the following areas of concern:

  • anxiety and panic

  • issues around abandonment

  • histories of abuse

  • depression

  • grief and loss

  • life transitions

  • relationship challenges

  • divorce recovery

  • complex post-traumatic stress

  • stress management

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based style and supportive of each person’s innate capacity for growth. Several psychological models inform my work, including attachment, humanistic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic and trauma-informed perspectives. This multi-dimensional approach provides important psycho-education and insight for greater clarity and self-understanding. Mindfulness practices are also incorporated to facilitate resiliency and self-regulation for overwhelming emotions.

Those whom I work with feel comfortable confiding in me and testify that our work together often generates immediate relief and improvement of their symptoms. I am passionate about my vocation, and hold in high regard anyone who entrust me to accompany them their healing journey.
